it's been a long time since i last updated. a few things have happened.
my handphone was finally put to rest (traded in actually) some time at the beginning of the month. which meant a lot of missed birthdays (at least 5 december babies that i rely on my phone to keep birthday dates straight on), missing contact details and quite a few embarressing 'thanks for the well-wishes but who's this please?'.
also today is the first day in a long time that i've been on the computer. first because between exams and chemo there's really not been enough 'feeling well' time that i can waste on this... (more)

thank God exams are over. hope to clear at least 50% of the papers so dun have to resit all but am really glad to be over them in any case. super unmotivated.
thank God for colleague who was so supportive and willing to let me bounce my half-baked answers of past year papers off her. and who shared her cheat sheet with me. no, we weren't cheating.
thank God for 'small' blessings. babysitting a mini yorkshire terrier while my uncle is away. cute fellow though got the heart of a mouse. saw himself in the mirror in my living room, thought there was another dog in there and was too scared to... (more)

really liked this song performed by tim mcgraw. lyrics here. was watching a rerun of american idol this morning. the season with melinda dolittle. just liked the melody, the quirky lyrics. watched tim mcgraw and wife faith hill's duet on some show, think it was ellen. vocals were amazing.

came across this website for books: http://yasubooks.com/. they're running a free-delivery with no min purchase promotion within singapore till 5 jan 2008. prices seem reasonable and some are even cheaper than what you would pay at say borders or kino. books range from christian to business to fiction so worth checking them out if you already have something in mind. might save you a trip. payment is buy bank transfer.

studying for my exam tomorrow. it's been a really long time since that word has crossed my lips - exam. feels alien even. anyway we're starting with something not so taxing, mcqs, over 2 hours. mcq = multiple choice questions. am i ready? not by a long shot. :P hoping to fly by the seat of my pants.

today is an ultra important day - dian got married. the first one of my girlfren's from sec sch to get married.
fifi was so cute and so sweet. she was wearing the blackest look the whole morning until aida started asking her why. was she hungry? tired? sleepy? she shook her head resolutely until angry? sad? 2 nods. why? "cos after today i'll never see aunty dian again." oh man. like praisie said "when did she start speaking in complete sentenses??"
our lady of the hour was oh so beautiful in her cream coloured gown. and the usually ott gal smiling so sweetly and demurely... :) but before... (more)

Isaiah 53:5

He was pierced for our transgressions
He was crushed for our sins
The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him
And by His wounds, by His wounds we are healed

He was pierced for our transgressions
He was crushed for our sins
The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him
And by His wounds, by His wounds we are healed

We are healed by Your sacrifice
And the life that You gave
We are healed for You paid the price
By Your grace we are saved
We are saved

He was... (more)

interesting website. carpool-ing has been around for many years, but in singapore the idea hasn't really kicked off in a big way. came across this website with the idea taken to the next level - taxi-pooling. the concept is simple. like minded people with similar start points, end points and start times in the journey share a cab, splitting the cost of taking the cab. kinda like the premium bus services started recently only instead of only applying to people along a particular route, new routes can now be created at all times of the day. currently there are only 50 users so it may not work...
been spending too much time on facebook. warbook is the latest thing that i'm hooked on. kinda like rpg only slower cos of the way the game is structured. you get an income, get hit by other players and hit back with either spells or attacks involving virtual armies. as in real life, there are people just looking to have some fun and then there are the crazies who cheat and do all sorts of things to level up and whack the living daylights out of other players. fairly simple game but still something quite addictive to stay alive.
was so irritated when i thought the internet at home was down... (more)
